International debt collection is the same as normal debt collection, except the creditor and debtor are in different countries. There are not many companies that specialize in this sort of collection as there is the need to have many different language speakers in-house and a knowledge of the different legal systems and laws that are in place around the world. In this case the collection calls are often made in a foreign language. This is useful if the debtor's knowledge of English is limited and it is quite often this lack of English that is used as a debtor excuse for non-payment.
