Default Open Question: I have some child support questions?

Okay, I live in California. My son's father lives in Oregon.Neither of us have jobs, he held one for a short while as did I. We are both currently looking for jobs, and we plan to move back in together in the (hopefully) near-future. I have the kid, and nobody to watch him for me while I'm at work once I get a job. The father was simply being lazy and refusing at all costs to find work. Now that the baby and I have been gone for four months, he's been homeless and finally come to grips with reality and is now finally working on getting his act together. I'm living with my dad, who happens to be in a bit of a financial crisis. He is unemployed, and doesn't have enough money to pay mortgage next month. He isn't entirely suitable to watch my son for me while I work, as he recently took up bartending classes and has them every night which might interfere with my future work schedule.I'm filing for child support, and am going to get on CALWORKS. Now, considering that both parents have zero income and one dependent, will I even get child support? I did an online CS calculator and it came out to zero. Second, when on CALWORKS do you really have to attend a seminar every day for two weeks if you're unemployed? I'm also wondering if these welfare benefits and child support will still be applicable once my son's father and I are living together again?I'm looking for serious answers, please. I won't hesitate to flag any users who reply immaturely.CALWORKS pays for day care so that my son will be taken care of while I work. And you can't get on CALWORKS without a child support order in play, genius.Every work schedule is bound to change, therefore I need a more stable environment for my son.And I can't accept a job offer until I have a day care to put my son in so that I can work a full schedule.
