Mortgage Know-How A mortgage is the transfer of an interest in property (or the equivalent in law - a charge) to a lender as a security for a debt - usually a loan of money. While a mortgage in itself is not a debt, it is the lender's security for a debt. It is a transfer of an interest in land (or the equivalent) from the owner to the mortgage lender, on the condition that this interest will be returned to the owner when the terms of the mortgage have been satisfied or performed. In other words, the mortgage is a security for the loan that the lender makes to the borrower.

Default Debt settlement, step by step.

People seem to be overwhelmed here, so I am just going to make a little step by step sticky.

Don't be offended if it seems too elementary. People have the best success when they accomplish little tasks along the way, it gives them the feeling that a large unmanageable task is possible. It may also be beneficial to read this
Most people I talk to say something like "my situation is unique" when they begin to tell me about their situation. The good news is that they are totally wrong. The formula for dealing with debt is exactly the same, every time.

Also, don't get caught up in how you got in trouble. Don't feel guilty, then you'll be stressed because you're beating yourself up AND you have this debt to deal with. It really doesn't matter at this point how you got here - you're here, let's deal with it.
THANKS

trust-debt-settlement.us has a great article on DIY debt settlement.

if you're thinking of going down that road I'd suggest taking a look.

1...If you have made up your mind to try to settle your debts on your own, you are advised to stop paying on your accounts...!!!
2...Get yourself emotionally prepared to negotiate with your creditors...!!!
3...After a few offers and counter offers, you will finally come to the conclusion. You are reminded to get a formal settlement agreement in writing from your creditors before making the payment....!!!

you need to take in this particular process, the duration taken to complete this is around 2 years. Don't expect miracle. Be patient and determined. You will definitely get out of debt successfully...

Settling debt on your own can take a while and most people never follow through all the way when they do it on their own.

With debt settlement programs you will always want to find a program that offers flat fee debt settlement. Don't pay a percentage, it never adds up.

Default debt settlement

1 state today's date at the top of the letter, then followed by your full name, address and zip code.
2 put the creditor's name or collector's name, address and zip code.
3 address the letter to the person who is in charge of your account.
4 state your account number clearly as the subject matter of the letter
5 explain or reiterate your previous debt situation and your current financial position in a sincere manner.
6 write your proposed debt settlement amount and your repayment terms.
7 it is important for you to state that the repayment will only be effective when you receive a letter from your creditor agreeing to change your credit terms.
And at the last step sign the letter before your printed name and post it to your creditor through registered mail.

Don't overpay for debt settlement services..

A flat fee program that that allows you to start settling debts right away and an incentive to get out of debt as soon as possible .. thats what you're looking for in an ethical debt settlement company
