How long does it take one to get information on filing a dispute if you are disputing it directly to the creditor itself. My nephew went into sears to apply for a card, he was told that he should go immediately to the police station that someone is using his social security number and has an account set up under his name. So he did, well the police had all the wrong information on him also, under his real social security number, this other person has a whole history of criminal activity. This kid is only 20 and his credit is shot at no fault of his own. He is disputing the card with sears, but how long will it take him to get results? Has anyone had identity theft happen before?

This statement summed up the ease with which these hackers are accessing all kinds of information online. The new program for infecting users’ computers is called Zeus; and the program is so hacker friendly that even an inexperienced hacker can operate it. Although the hacking program is easy to use, that fact does not diminish the devastating effects that Zeus can do to a computer and the user.

Hello guys...!
I have a case where someone has signed up for a Gmail account impersonating a client. They are signing up for accounts on other sites using this email and emailing contacts of the user. This is a serious matter, and need to know if there process or form to fill out to allow Google to close this account?

There are so many ways that a person can get tied into some form of identity theft - be it through credit card scams or online impersonation. I think it is crucial to provide as little information as possible online, when filling out forms, and on anything available to the public. These days there are too many tools for people to utilize and take advantage of negatively. Best of luck to your nephew!
