adding husband to deed

i am remarried and i want to add my husband to the deed. we do have a small loan against the home but it is in both of our names. so if i do a quit claim , will this add him as the second owner? and i will still be on the deed? or what form do i have to fill out? i just dont want something to happen to me and him not get the home... thank you
